The dimension 4600 C has a AGP 8x slot and PCI slots in it. Since its a slim tower you can only put low profile cards in it. The card that you mentioned I don't think will fit your computer.

If you have a PCI slot empty and a budget of $60-100 than please go for PCI cards as it will give you more options and performance.|||I need to point out that ЯõČҝỵ†ŗυÊĽÿяóЖ gave you the specification for the Dimension 4600 MID-TOWER case, not the Dimension 4600C slim-line case. The cards he lists will not work with the 160 power supply in the slim-line case. They will all fit, like I said. They just won't power up. Be careful!!

|||The HD 3870 will not work in your Dell Dimension 4600C. I'm afraid it is too tall for your slim-tower case.

Looking over the specifications of the Dell Dimension 4600C, I noticed the power supply has only 160 Watts*. As far as I know, there are no modern graphics cards that will work with a power supply that has so few Watts.

If you are going to go shopping for a graphics upgrade for your system (which is a very good idea) please keep the minimum power supply requirement of the card in mind. Even a decent card like the HD 3450 needs a 300 Watt power supply.

Ok, So i Just Recently Figured out that i have a PCI Express x16 Slot inside my computer. But all the cards i see around now all have PCI express 2.0 slots. Will a PCI Express 2.0 card work in my PCI Express x16 Slot? I have the motherboard DG31PR Intel Motherboard with Quad Processor. So just wondering. Video Card Compatibility... i need help on this...?

i am having Asus P5KPL-AM SE Intel core Quad Q8200 @2.33Ghz and my current graphic card is Nvidia Geforce 9400 GT PCI-E 2.0 and the width is single slot. i am looking at Nvidia Geforce GT440 PCI-E 2.0 x 16 dual slot for the upgrade.I dont know if my motherboard is compatible with GT 440.

Video Card Compatibility / Installation Issues?

Hi there, I have just bought an Nvidia GTS 450 and I had hoped to install it into my Pegatron M2N78-LA motherboard (it has an integrated Nvidia Geforce 9100), but whenever I try booting up my computer with the card in, my monitor stays idle and my computer boots for about a minute before it crashes.

Before installing my new card, I went into the device manager and disabled my integrated chip in safemode, powered off my system, and then popped my card in.

A word of note: the first time i tried installing my new Nvidia, I accidentally chose to Uninstall the integrated card on the Device Manager rather than disabling it, but the next time I booted my system without my new card in it, it automatically downloaded drivers for the integrated card and seemingly works fine.

I've narrowed my problem down to two possible options:

1. My new GTS 450 is incompatible with my motherboard

2. The drivers for my new hardware are all f*cked up

If you could give me any advice at all that may help, I would really appreciate it! Thanks in advance!|||You only need an available SLOT..

You need to remove the Graphics Card..

You need to re-install your integrated video card..

Once that's completed..

Do a Restart and TAP(repeatedly)..F-2..

To flip thru the pages of the System Set Up Program..

The ARROW Keys will also move your CURSOR for you---up and down..

Just so I don't buy a non-compatible card for my desktop, what exactly am I looking at to make sure the card and the computer will match?|||Most important thing is the video card slot.

If you have a PCI express slot, you can fit only a PCI express card in there. If you have AGP, get an AGP card, etc.

Next is make sure your power supply is powerful enough to power the card.

Lastly, make sure it's compatible with your platform: Windows, Mac OS X, etc. but you can usually get drivers for the different platforms.|||you need to know what type of video slot your motherboard has (agp vs pci vs pci express)

does the MB say what kind of video card it has like pci, agp, or pci-e?|||NO.... The MB is just the memory size and its not called MB its called VRAM....

To know whether it is compatible just check whether its PCI-E, AGP, or PCI... Most new ones are PCI-E 2.0 and 1.0 and the old ones more likely AGP 8X and PCI is likely extinct in terms of seperate cards. PCI graphics slots survives on integrated graphics solutions... those use PCI

Aslo the more VRAM the better the performance. Also type of VRAM plays an important role. GDDR5 is currently the highest and fastest.Settle anywhere between GDDR3 to GDDR5 though if your on a budget and GDDR2 is the only choice against like SDRAM or GDDR go for it...

Okay, I want to buy a EVGA Geforce 8600gt graphics carde for my pc computer but i don't know if it's compatible or not. The website says that it's PCI and I don't know if my computer has that slot or not. My full system name: Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition Version 2002 Service Pack 2. Can my computer use this video card?|||It won't be compatible. it is running an AGP interface slot and the 8600GT is a pcie interface slot. the best agp card You can buy are either a 7600HX for nvidia or a 3850 for ati.

EDIT: The card is PCI express not PCI, big difference, the card will not work for you sorry. PCI is a much older form of expansion, but they do make cards for those, though none of them work very well, nor will oyu find them anymore.

Your computer has one AGP slot, the long green or blakc one.

It has a couple of PCI slots. they are the not so long stubby white ones.

What you should be concerned with when looking for a new video card is making sure you have the proper interface slot open. In this case, a PCI Express slot for the 8500GT. Also make sure your power supply unit can handle this upgrade. Hey guys! I'm ordering an HP 360z. It uses an AMD chipset, and has a 450-485 watt power supply.

My question is, seeing as the cards they offer aren't really... good... what can I replace it with? It's an Asus motherboard, compatible with both nVidia and ATI, but being an AMD chipset, it's supposedly best to use the Radeon card. The one they offer as their best card for this setup is the 2gb 5570. It *does* have a second PCIE slot, and a second 5570 should be able to fit inside comfortably. Will I be abusing my power supply if I go SLI, (if so, how do I make my computer compatible?) and what kind of card can I upgrade to safely. Thanks!|||does the motherboard support crossfire? if not, then your second card wont do anything, see about getting a 5770, the 5570 will be a bit of a let down i think.|||it will not be sli capable, amd chips don't have that capability. Also, it only has 1 pcie x16 slot meaning only 1 high performance graphics card will be able to be used. there are grapihcs cards for 1x slots which this model has 3 of, but they are low end chips. so no sli or crossfire capability at all and you shouldn't do anyway with the power supply it comes with. you could get a mid range graphics card, a radeon 5770 might be about the highest end i would go, if you get one, make sure it will fit in the case, they can be rather large, check the card dimensions in specs but it would probably be ok.

It has 4 total pcie slots, but there are different classes. 4 of them actually. x16, x8, x4, and x1. x16 is for high end graphics cards and not much else. x8 is also able to handle high end cards but it usually is only seen on boards with sli or crossfire capabilities, x4 is for lower end stuff and i haven't seen much that uses it specifically, and x1 is for low end things like sound cards, ethernet cards, tv tuners, and low end graphics chips.

This computer's specs page says it has 1 x16 slot and 3 x1 slots. meaning no crossfire or sli. your power supply should be able to handle the 5770, it seems to recommend a 450w power supply.

I've been meaning to upgrage my GeForce 9400 GT Graphics Card to a much better one.

I have two options: GeForce GT 440, or GeForce GTS 450 (Over Clocked)

The GTS 450 requires an extra 100 Watts over the GeForce 9400 and the GeForce GT 440. So, you'll need to accommodate that with a decent PSU. Other than that, they're all compatible with your PCI-E 2 video slot. They can all work with Intel or AMD CPUs, although I did not see any minimum CPU GHz requirements for any of these cards.

It's a shoddy YoungYear build, and is prone to actually melting the plastic housing well before reaching its rated output. Inside, it's really just a generic 500-something watter! I was just wondering if my computer would be compatible with a ATI Radeon HD 2600 PRO. I have a Intel Rohaws D915GRO as the motherboard. It has a PCI-e slot and the power supply as a max power of 305W but a max combined power on 5v and 3.3v of 150W. I only have 1 harddrive and 2 filled DIMM slots. So based on those specs do I have enough to use that video card?|||Get an HD3650 card instead.

The HD2600Pro is old-- It is an 80-nanometer GPU that runs hotter and uses more power. The HD3650 is a half-node 55-nanometer GPU and uses a MEASLY 50 watts of power, and runs a lot cooler.

Get the HD3650 and it will work beautifully with your existing power supply. It will perform a bit better than the HD2600 Pro, and cost about the same.

Video Card / Desktop PC Compatibility Question.?

I'm currently looking to replace my desktop computer. I already have the monitor and other external accessories, so I figure my best bet is to go with a bundle from Future Shop / Best Buy.

Now, I need a bit of help regarding video card compatibility, without too much technological mumbo-jumbo, because I'm not too talented with that stuff.

Thanks a lot.|||Hi, firstly, the standard graphics on that pc (i used the cat. number to find the pc) are integrated - which will not run any newer games (inc. WoW). The card you have picked out is compatible, however it's not a particullarly good card for gaming. You really want to be looking at an nvidia 9600gt minimum to make it a worthwhile investment. If necessary, i would strongly suggest getting a computer with a cheaper processor (barely anything utilizes even 2 cores let alone 4) unless you plan on doing any heavy video editing and put the saved money into a better graphics card - which is THE most important feature where gaming is concerned.

As long as the processor is a dual core, preferably an intel one clocked over 2.4Ghz, it will be more than enough for a good long while.

AS for your motherboard, i haven't heard of a reasonable desktop on the market then can't support a PCI-E video Card you should be fine for that

Second problem is we can't tell you unless we know what motherboard you have, and what power supply you have.

I am guessing that your computer is about 2-3 years old so I think the card should fit in the slot, but yo might need a special slot for it to work ( that slot comes off your power supply.

Also I think you should upgrade and get the 9800 GTX

Its a way better card for the same price.

You need an AGP card, as that is what slot your mobo has.

Both at excellent rebate prices, for a HD4650 or 9500GT

The HD4650 is a bit down compared to some (only 64 bit memory bus, versus 128), but probably still faster than the 9500GT - the reviews have it as ok with 300W PSU|||Sorry, but a vid. card for that price range won't be possible unless you go to a surplus store. Some of your specs are really out of date.

My opinion, best if you get a new machine.

You might need to upgrade your power supply to get a video card like that working.|||You can install the GPU, but make sure your case is big enough to provide it (size-wise) and that you got enough cooling for it. Of what I can see the case is a standard mid-tower with 1 front intake and and 1 exhaust fan. Help yourself and keep temperatures notified with NvTempLogger: http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php… (Program to tell temperatures on nvidia based GPUs).

Also, you wanna consider upgrading PSU. A smooth quality 400-450W will easily handle your system. Try to get some money together for at least a 400W power supply, and that card would work wonders. I have a hp compaq pavilion a747c. i bought a PNY - Verto NVIDIA GeForce 9400 GT 512MB GDDR2 PCI Express Graphics Card and my screen does not turn on.

Help|||Based on the fact that its a manufactured computer, one possible reason your screen wont show could be an inadequate power supply. Only other reason I could think of would be the card you bought is faulty.|||Check to see if you have slotted the 9400GT into the pci-e x16 slot properly, secure it with a screw at the rear.

Can any techs out there tell me if a nvidia ge force 7300gt 512mb vid card on an agp slot would be compatible with the native resolution of the fairly new samsung t220 monitor? thanx|||Check the box your video card came in, or go to the maker's website, and see if the supported video mode resolutions match or exceed your monitor's resolution. If it does, then you have half of your answer...

The other half is: What are the video hookups on the card and the monitor? The main ones used are VGA ("D" shape with 15 pins) and DVI (long rectangle). If they match, or if the card includes a DVI-to-VGA adapter, then there should be no real problem.

Also, make sure to install the drivers (if included on disc) for both the card and monitor.|||it works on any resolution. hey, even my old geforce 5900 can set the desktop resolution up to 1600x1200 although i never used that.|||yes with no problems

which means you'll have to buy a new motherboard for your computer and CPU you need a 64 bit dual core or quad core processor in your system and RAM is important as well you'll also need maybe a 530 watt-620 watt ATX power supply for the graphics card you want to get

Your CPU is WEAK!!! SOrry, but its the truth, getting a powerful card like the 9600gt wont be a very good idea. Ur CPU will slow down ur 9600, and u will lose a lot of performance. Laptop video card compatibility?

My laptop screen is cracked beyond repair. And now my vga prt that i was using to connect to my external monitor has broken. I've seen a technician and they told me that its broken due to wear and tear. Anyway, i've been using an old xp laptop for a few months now. I've just realised that the vga port is attached to the video card in the laptop! So all I need is a new video card. Are all video cards universal? Like is it "One size fits all" sort of thing? I was looking to remove the video card from the toshiba XP laptop into my xp e system laptop. Will this work? Or do they have to be the same video cards? This is the first time I try to replace any computer component by myself so I want to know what kind of compatibility issues I should be aware of. will the nvidia 9800gtx work with an acer aspire am5640? and if not why not?|||Your system will support it, the only problem that you will encounter is your case. The card is pretty long. The other part you have to consider is getting a better powersupply. That card requires 400watt on it's own. So you might want to look for a 550Watt powersupply or 650 Watt would be better.

I have already been told this is possible for me to do in a previous question I have asked, but I have been told differently, and that's that I will not be able to get a back panel I/O to fit the 435's motherboard configuration.

So, I would like to know if this is possible, and with which case, the Haf 922/Antec 900. I would not like to have to buy a new motherboard at the time being, the card/psu/case is pretty much all my current budget.|||I am leaning towards no. It is not the back panel of the motherboard lining up with the opening on the back of the tower that makes me think no but all the stuff on the front of the new tower that will need to be connected to the motherboard. Power button, headphone jack, mike jack, USB ports, etc. The tower will most likely have a bunch of individual wires for most of that stuff and a 9 pin connector for the USB ports that will need to be hooked up to the motherboard for all those things. The Dell tower looks like it has plastic connectors for all those things that plug into the motherboard. Hope this helps. I'm certain to myself that this is a good build. Done research on the video card, compatibility of every part, so it is compatible but i want some opinions.|||The one thing I foresee is the "green" nature of that hard disk. This is ok for a secondary hard drive where you don't need to access the data all the time, but green drives should be AVOIDED for the primary hard drive because they shut down all the time in order to save electricity - that is why you don't want it for a primary hard disk drive. Video card compatibility issue?

I have an asus p5n-mx motherboard which has an nvidia chipset. I bought a radeon hd5670 which unfortunetly seems to have some driver compatibility issue with the nvidia chipset. It causes a boot fail/POST test error. Now considering i can just press f1 and continue to the operating system, this normally would not be a big deal except because of this boot error, my overclocks in my bios no longer take effect when the operating system starts. Now i don't need people telling me "don't overclock blah blah blah" i do it, thats that. What i am asking, is there a way to stop this compatibility issue without buying a new motherboard or video card. I have already tried reinstalling all latest drivers, and flashing my bios. Everything already suggested by others who suffered the problem but with no success. I would appreciate some ideas or solutions if known. side note, this issue seems to happen for alot of people with the 5000 series cards so maybe someone has fixed it.|||Yeah, this is why i bought a GTS250 instead...

Ok, I get the error Unknown DynamicOption value 800x600. I have tried alot of things, to include running it in compatability/admin mode, tweaking the video.con files for various known working resolutions, and am about to mix it up between direct x 9.0c and 10. Any additional suggestions would be super, or just tell me that the video card is incompatible so I can stop this madness of install/uninstalling and move on. I am playing alot of new games on this comp to include the newly released Left 4 Dead on FULL/HIGHEST settings.

So this game recommended Nvidia 8000 series but futureshop only sells laptops with Radeon.. So how would I know which Raadeon series is compatible with Nvidia 8000 series?|||Nvidia 8000 series was several years ago. Since then, they've had 9000 series, then back down to 200, then 400, now 500 series. So really, any new laptop with a Radeon that's x4xx (where the 2nd digit is at least 4) or better should be good for gaming. The first digit will be the overall generation (5 or 6 currently) while the 2nd digit really indicates the performance level to some extent.

Btw, online I see Futureshop also sells laptops with Nvidia graphics. Anything x4x or better should be good for gaming.

it wont be able to run everything maxed out probably, but it will run close to high and smoothly :) as long your cpu isnt too lacking or your monitor resolution isnt insane like a 23+inch 1080p monitor.

if you dont mind upgrading your powersupply also since the stock psu are always pretty weak, then id suggest just buy the 4850, makes a huge difference, roughly 7x more powerful than the 4350 and will max out sims 3 even on 1080p monitors easily. you will need a 400watt psu however

I want know know if my power supply can power up my GTX 470, it was a gift from a friend and I really don't know much about what it requires. It says it needs minimum of a 550 Watt power supply. That Rosewill power supply is made by ATNG (UL file number E186010), so it's not a very good one --don't buy Rosewill again --but so long as that particular example continues working correctly, it should have plenty of power to support a single GTX 470. my motherborad take PCIe but aim worried about the DDR3 can my motherboard take it or not by the way idk what is the name of my motherboard but i think it's HT2000 or some like that if you want to search for it!|||Firstly, the 9600GT has GDDR3, which is independent to the system memory which is most likely DD2.

If you download a small program (it doesn't even need to be installed, just run the exe) called CPU-Z it will tell you information about your processor, motherboard and RAM, post the information from the "mainboard" tab and I can identify whether you can run the card.

Another issue you may want to think of is the PSU, and whether your current one will have enough current (lol) to power it.

I have a Sony Vaio VGC-RB40 and I want to update the video card. I thought I had figured it out so I purchased a Sapphire - ATI Radeon HD 5450 512MB DDR2 PCI Express Graphics Card but it doesn't fit! I really need help picking out a video card. I don't want to pay more than $70 for it. The reason I am upgrading is because I play a few games such as Crossfire and when I play I get about 25fps while my friends get upwards of 100fps. Please help me pick out a new card?

work with my system? The primary reason for these cards is to connect the pc with my tv via a HDMI cable, games are not played a lot on my pc. Will the required power for either card be a problem?|||The Sapphire 4650 won't work because that's a standard height card, and slimline computers (of any brand) can only accept low-profile cards. Regular cards are too tall.

The 4350 would fit, and work. You'd just have to attach the low-profile bracket instead of the standard bracket. Looking at the photos, the HDMI port is below the top of the card edge, so it would still be accessible with the low-profile bracket attached.

In terms of power, the 240W power supply is dicey for a 4650, but it's more than enough for the 4350. It's also more than enough for a 5450, which is a better choice than either:

Video card compatibility?

I'm trying to buy a new video card for my computer.. but I have no idea what to buy. After doing some research, I found out that there are PCI, AGP, and PCI Express video cards. How do I know which one will work with my computer? It's a gateway and I bought it in 2001.

thanks.|||PCI and AGP are old technologies for a video card. Your computer most likely uses an AGP slot for video. The best way to verify that is to refer to any manuals included with the computer and if you don't have those available check the gateway website under support and enter your serial number for Computers prior to 2004. You can also google your Model Number and see what information comes up.

After determining if it uses AGP then go to www.newegg.com and search for AGP video cards. There are still a few out there being sold.|||2001 Gateway, hopefully AGP but it is very possible you have onboard graphics in which case the only option would be PCI and if that is the case don't waste your time or money. Would need to know the model number of your Gateway to help further.|||It depends on what expansion card slot is in your system, we could find the specifications of that computer if you tell us the make and model.|||It won't be PCI Express; it is much to new to be found in a PC made in 2001. It will either be AGP, PCI Express or integrated graphics. You need to know what computer you have as you may not be able to upgrade the graphics at all. I have an HP a6230n computer from 2007, 2 years ago i upgraded my video card to 8600GT and my PSU to 430W. Now I'm planning on upgrading my video card into at least a GTX 260. is my motherboard able to take that? You can use a pci-e 2.0 x16 card in a standard pci-e x16 slot. The 2.0 is a data transfer rate improvement that, even though your system may not be able to take advantage of the improvement, is backward compatible with a standard pci-e x16 slot. I know, I've been running a 9600GT that is a pci-e 2.0 x16 card in one of my systems that has a standard pci-e x16 slot for over a year now. Also, you don't need "at least a 600W psu", a decent 500W~550W psu will work so long as it meets the cards requirements. You'll need to check the cards specs, some say they need at least a 500W psu with two 6 pin pci-e power connectors with a 36A 12V rail and some say you need at least a 525W psu with two 6 pins and a 38A 12V rail. A good choice for a power supply upgrade would be Corsair or Antec.

You'll need to make sure that you have enough room inside your system for a GTX 260, these are large cards that measure 4.5" (114mm) tall x 1.5" (38mm) wide x 10.5" (267mm) long. It only uses one slot but it's a double wide card that will most likely block the slot below it, and because of it length, you may need to move your sata cables to other ports. I have two GTX 260's in my game rig, but it has right angle sata ports so it didn't affect my cables but I did have to move my hard drive bay over a little to accommodate them (mid tower case, ATX board).

Yeah, there's absolutely no problem with using a pci-e 2.0 x16 card on a motherboard that has a pci-e x16 slot, like I said, the 2.0 card is backward compatible with a standard x16 slot.

if a power supply has three 12v rails rated for 18a each (max combine watts = 480), and only one rail is connected to a video card requiring 26a

does some of the current from the unused rails get "shared" to the one rail being used allowing the card to work properly?

im asking this because i find that a lot of psus have less than 26 amps on a single rail while the 8800 gts requires said amount of current|||it should work.

the requirements are pretty high.

(they measure the psu reqs with a PC that is maxed out- quad core CPU, two 750gig HDDs + a 150 gig raptor, 2+ gigs of RAM, ect, ect.)

Video card compatibility...help please?

Can I use any PCI-e x16 video card with any computer as long as the motherboard has at least one available PCI-e x16 slot? Is the availability of a PCI-e x16 slot the only factor in determining whether or not a video card will work (I know the power supply matters as well)? I am thinking about getting the "HP Pavilion a6554f" and I would like to know if I can upgrade with any PCI-e x16 video card (it comes with the intel GMA3100) as long as I buy another power supply as well?|||I think you'll be fine. Motherboard compatibility - you're okay on this one. It's a PCI-E card, and you have a PCI-E motherboard. You also want to make sure your motherboard has enough SATA connectors. Some higher-end cards will require two of them, and this can be a problem if they're being used up by things like hard drives as well.

Power Supply - make sure you have enough wattage to drive a higher-end video card. I would recommend at least 400-450w as a bare minimum. Super high-end cards will require even more wattage.

Get the dimensions of your case and and the card you want and make sure that the card you're looking at will fit inside.|||That new gpu should be fine, as long as the card is pci express and so is your motherboard it will work, one thing you might have to look out for though is the power requirements of your new card. because you system is so old your power supply might not be able to handle the extra power needed by the graphics card. what size power supply do you have?|||Spend just a little more on a 9600GT or a 9800GT... You will not be disappointed. You will if you buy an 8400...

So no the video card will not work.|||It appears that they are compatible based on the motherboard having 2 PCI-Express ports, however the motherboard does have integrated graphics so you might have to fool around in BIOS to disable the integrated graphics after installing the card in order to make sure they don't conflict. Also, make sure the card will physically fit into your computer based on its dimensions; some of the newer series of cards are quite long and may not fit into a micro-ATX formfactor.|||i personally would not spend that much for such small mb graphics card i went to best buy and spent a couple hundred for a GeForce 8800 gt oc its rad graphics.

Thank You.|||I was not able to find any compatibility listing for the AGP slot on this system, but I do know that motherboards that have both an AGP and PCI-E slot had VERY limited compatibility with AGP video cards. It could work, but it's a gamble and not one I would take.|||speaking of gambling like the guy above me spoke of have you considered DirectX 10 because those cards wont work on it and all future games will be running it so I think you should consider a bit of revising and maybe buy a low line Nvidia 8300GT which is cheap and will run direct X10.

Video Card Compatibility Question?

I have a compaq presario sr5710y and i want to upgrade the graphics card to a ATI Radeon HD 6870. I know i have to upgrade my PSU but my PCI express x16 is not 2.0. Does it have to be 2.0 so that the card works with my motherboard or can i just install the PSU and graphics card and it will work?|||Make sure the dimensions fit in the PC, newer cards are quite large, had a whole debate about that last answer LOL But yea even if it's not 2.0 it should work fine, you can actually put a GPU in any PCIe slot but the x16 is obviously faster, some people that want to crossover or SLi, will put the more powerful card on the x16 and the lower card on a regulard PCIe x 1. That 6870 is a hefty card, make sure the PSU is rated high enough for it, I think you need a min of 600w, so you'll need at least a 650-700w to fully power the system. Too much wattage on a PSU is better than not enough, an underpowered system will burn out the main board. 2.0 is really just the version number, just means it's newer than an 07 system with a regulard pciex16 slot. New PSU, check dimensions and install card, and I don't see you having many problems. Make sure to delete all your previous video drivers, new video cards don't like old driver files.

Video card keeps failing?

Alright, so I'm at my 3rd 8800 GTS now in the past 2 months. I thought that the first problem was basically that they kept fixing the same card and sending it back to me but it would just go bad again. Now, they sent me a brand new card and if I have any game on a high enough resolution for my monitor the video fails. I can run things in lower resolution but at some point the video starts to fail again. Does this issue sound like it's the video card (compatibility issue) or the power supply or what? I'm pretty frustrated with this issue at this point, but I'd just like some outside perspective. Thanks!|||>When you have replaced the same part multiple times and the problem persists, guess what? It's not the part. So my guess is that you have a faulty motherboard and it's burning out the video card. Most likely the PCIe X 16 slot is being overloaded and that means one or more of the capacitors on the board are bad. Make sure your video card drivers are up to date and that your system meets the requirments for it.

Be sure the game you are palying is compatable as well.

My advice is to invest in a new graphics card and demand a refund.
