If i use pcie v2 video card on a pcie v1.1 motherboard slot, will i lose any performance?

pcie v2 video card compatibility with pcie v1.1 mobo|||If your talking about cards like GTX 260, GTX 280, 4870, 4850 then yes, but not by much.

Worst case you will only be losing 10% of performance which translate to

5-10 fps in real world gaming.|||It really depends on the video cards you are using. If they are high end cards with fast GPUs (graphics Processing Unit) then they can render all the graphics using very little of the computers CPU time. If, on the other hand, the video cards aren't really high end then they will need more of the computers CPU time to process the graphics. In that case the overall performance of the computer could be affected.|||Not really. Most PCI-E cards can't even use all the bandwidth provided by the 1.1 slot. The "PCI-Express 2.0" is a buzzword that doesn't really mean much of anything.
