Changing the video card compatibility question?

I would like to change my currently pretty old video card ( Nvidia GeForce 5200 GX) with a Nvidia GeForce 9600 GT but i am uncertain if my computer is compatible with it.

Intel Celeron CPU 2.4 Ghz

1.5 GB RAM Memory

ASUS P4VP-MX P4V533-MX Motherboard

If any more information is needed just say so and i will do my best to provide it.

Furthermore, if this video card is not compatible please recommend me one better than my current one ( should be easy).

Thanks |||do exactly what he said you need a better CPU to run the 9600 GT

which means you'll have to buy a new motherboard for your computer and CPU you need a 64 bit dual core or quad core processor in your system and RAM is important as well you'll also need maybe a 530 watt-620 watt ATX power supply for the graphics card you want to get

and about the RAM you'll need at-least 1GB-4GB PC2 6400 to PC2 8000

you'll pretty much need a complete upgrade on your system|||Youre gonna have to find out if ur motherboard supports PCI express 1.0 or 2.0....

Without either, u wont be able to use it.

Your CPU is WEAK!!! SOrry, but its the truth, getting a powerful card like the 9600gt wont be a very good idea. Ur CPU will slow down ur 9600, and u will lose a lot of performance. Ur best bet is to just by a upgradeable PC, and the 9600 separately. U will be much happier... Here are some really good combos...

GOOD UPGRADEABLE PCs:

1. Good http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as…

2. Better

3. Best

And of course, u need to add ur video card... I would recommend getting a 9800 GT, if u get PC 2 or 3, just because u would have MUCH better performance...

GOOD LUCK!!!
