CPU/Motherboard/video card compatibility?

Upgrading Computer, Just need to confirm compatability of all these parts.?



I'm looking to upgrade my computer pretty big. I currently have..



Asus A8N-SLi Premium Motherboard

eVGA 7300GT 512 MB GDDR2

AMD Athlon 64 3700+

That is the motherboard I just need to confirm compatibility.



I am looking to buy an

AMD athlon 64 x2 4200+

eVGA 8800 GTS 640 MB GDDR3 (which i eventually will buy another for SLi

With 3 GB memory as well (2x 1GB Kingston hyperx, 2x 512 corsair value ram)



Also thinking that this PSU should be enough to run this with 2 hard drives, dvd drive and few led lights.

I am 99.9% sure everything is good but just want to confirm before I go ahead and purchase.

2 days ago - 1 day left to answer. - 0 answers - Report Abuse|||The links aren't fully written. However, just make sure that the motherboard and CPU have the same socket (AM2 in this case I believe). The 8800 should be fine as long as you have a PCI-E slot (NOT PCI). Also make sure that your case is long enough and has enough room to fit a massive 8800. I don't recommend mixing up brands of memory, you should stick to just one. And make sure the PSU is powerful enough. At least 700w with plenty of A on the 12v rail.



If it all works, you'll have a nice computer!
