Motherboard video card compatibility?

hey ive got all my pc parts picked out for my next build but i was wondering if these two parts are ok together...

also if im trying to make this build "future proof" so would you suggest getting a solid dual core or a lower speed quad processor and OC it with a better fan?|||Yeah those parts go well together, although make sure your case has enough slots, because the GTS 250 will take up 2 slots, and that mother board only has a PCIe x16 at the top, so there may be a problem there.

However, if you are willing to pay it, the GTX 260 is a far better card and much more future proof. Also, it comes with COD5, which covers the price increase:

Now for processor... If you plan to OC an E8400/E8500 would be the best bet for dual core. With a good heatsink and fan these guys will hit 4Ghz pretty easy.

If you plan to go for a quad-core (more future proof, but not much improvement in games yet) then a Q6600 is a very good OCer. It isn't being produced by Intel any more however and may be out of stock. In that case the Q9550 is only $20 more and is also a very consistent OCer. Either of those would be quite future proof (although it is impossible to tell how long for).

Hope that helps~

By the way, best heatsinks would be the ThermalRight Ultra 120 Extreme (TRUE) or the Xigmatek "Dark Knight".|||yes they will work together but i would suggest getting a lower speed quad core and oc it but with a better HEATSINK cause intel heatsink is poo and a fan will lower temps by only a few degress. i reccomend a xigmatek darknight since they yeild low temps and is a bargain for price/performance ratio.

ps:i like amd and ati it would be way cheaper and just as good with more oc'ing potential.|||ok, yea, your mobo and graphics card is compatibly

Right now, if u buy that mobo, your computer will not be Future proof at all .

All the socket LGA775 processors are beings phased out.

it is bing replaced with Core i3, Core i5 and core i7

the Core i3 and i5 are going to be comming out in Q3 of this year, so by then your computer will have no more upgrades available

So if i were u, i would wait to build your comp, or go all our with Core 2
