Can my laptop run BF2?

I have a new laptop with questionable video card compatibility. I am very familiar with BF2 minimum requirements, and my comp far exceeds them. Here are my specs:

HP Pavilion dv9700

Turion 64 X2 TL-68 2.4GHz

4GB RAM

Vista 64-bit version

GeForce 8400M GS video running the newest drivers

Way more than enough HDD space



Ok, I get the error Unknown DynamicOption value 800x600. I have tried alot of things, to include running it in compatability/admin mode, tweaking the video.con files for various known working resolutions, and am about to mix it up between direct x 9.0c and 10. Any additional suggestions would be super, or just tell me that the video card is incompatible so I can stop this madness of install/uninstalling and move on. I am playing alot of new games on this comp to include the newly released Left 4 Dead on FULL/HIGHEST settings.



Thanks to all who reply!!!|||A lot of people have the same problem (just search google: GeForce 8400M bf2?) and they all say the same thing. Therefore, in my opinion - its the graphics card. your only other option is to call the games help line and ask them directly. They will most likely put you through a painful Q n A session however.
