Video card compatibility?

Will a DDR2 video card (like the GeForce 8500 GT) work on a computer that runs standard DDR ram|||The type of ram used for your system has no bearing on what kind of video ram (the type on the 8500GT) can be used. So yes, in that case you should be fine.

What you should be concerned with when looking for a new video card is making sure you have the proper interface slot open. In this case, a PCI Express slot for the 8500GT. Also make sure your power supply unit can handle this upgrade. These newer cards can eat up a lot of power.|||yes it will. it just depends if your power supply is up to the job eg has enough wattage left. and if your motherboard has the available slot for the card.

since the card using a pci-express connection, i wouldnt consider your motherboard new enough to support it|||Yes it is only an upgraded version of the DDR and here is a site to help you find out about it. http://www.digit-life.com/articles2/ddr2…|||i think u can because video card memory and system

memory are separate.

just they could not shear memory.
